I think it's worth checking out if you have some time to spend in Santa Cruz.On dated I have purchased an USHA HONYWELL COOLER, & on dated once a erritical noise created in my usha cooler from water pump then i have loged a complaint through mail & toll free no. I wish the rest of the park was open, but I'm happy I went. It's quite far from the center of Santa Cruz - $6 - $7 by Uber each way. Overall, it was a nice place to pass a few hours. There's a tall lookout tower you can climb that offers some views of the surrounding area. I erred on the side of caution however and didn't venture past the posted sign (see photos). Unfortunately, a huge part of the park is closed due to "maintenance" and you're not permitted to enter, though there's also nothing to stop you. It was hot and sunny and so I didn't need bug repellant, but I did need a LOT of sunblock, so if you go on a hot sunny day, ditch the repellent and slather on the sunblock. I enjoyed a few hours here exploring the trails. I saw monkeys, turtles, even alligators! I also saw some big lizards but they like to hide from people and are difficult to see. This is a great place to explore the local flora and fauna. I went on a Monday when they were supposed to be closed but they were open and there were other people there also, but not many. Our recommendation is that you come here early and spend the whole day there if you have the money. Our only complaint is that the price is a bit high for the amount of animals there are, and the June discount where you get 50% off only applies if you come in the last two and a half hours which doesn’t give you enough time to explore and enjoy everything. The waterfall and mini-cave that joined with the swimming pool was very lovely too. There are 15 pools total, but we only had time for one. The swimming pool was pretty cold, but it was still very fun and relaxing, especially as it wasn’t too busy. The butterfly sanctuary was okay, but we only saw very few butterflies, probably because it’s winter.

The aviary was amazing and walking amongst the birds was a real experience the view from the top of the tower was pretty fantastic too. We went there mostly to see the animals which did not disappoint, despite there being no sloths or capybaras, and the monkey enclosure being very small (they should expand it).
